VATC- The Facts Outside of the Lines with Willie Perdomo
November 23 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm$135
This 3-hour workshop seeks to explore what might be latent in a poem, or, in other words, where is the blood that accompanies the bones. Poems have a life outside of their form, so what is the data that informs the poem? When does a poet get to a point where they say, “That’s not really what I wanted to write about. I just couldn’t find the right words.” Sometimes, that moment is more about fear, correctness, than it is about technique. In this workshop, we’ll focus on the matter of a poem.
